What is intercessory; The biblical foundation for intercession on the behalf of other people, loved ones, co-workers, saints or friends. The act of actually praying to God or a deity.
Do you pray for others? I pray you do. Many times it appears that God will bless you, when you take the focus off of yourself, and spend time with God praying for others.
God loves when you communicate with Him. He embraces the words you share with Him, and smiles upon you/us. The scriptures informs us that He is a jealous God, letting us know that we should have no other gods before Him.
When you communicate on a continuous basis, it keeps you informed from one step to the next. In other words, God will direct your path, if you acknowledge Him in all your ways.
Scriptures tells us that the major hinderance to God’s willingness to hear and answer our prayers are unconfessed sins. Psalm 66:18
“The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears attentive to their cry” Psalm 34:15. If we say we have a righteous relationship with God and are earnestly seek to follow and honor Him with our lives. We never have to wonder if he’s listening to our prayers.
Quite the contrary, the verse assures us that he is carefully attuned to our lives and eager to hear every prayer that comes from our lips.
Encourage Yourself: Psalm 5:3 “in the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice: in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.”
