There have been claims against doctors and the pharmaceutical industry stating that they are just in it for the overwhelming amount of revenue to be had. To keep you on medication rather than to school you on a healthier method to reduce your hypertension. They would rather fatten their pockets and prescribed you prescription after prescription.

Understand that we must be proactive when it comes to our bodies, our health or well being physically and financially. Never just allow anyone, especially a doctor to feed you a bunch of medications or information without doing your research as well. We have this preconceived notion that if the doctor says it, it must be true, or he knows best. This could not be furture from the truth.

One must be knowledgeable about everything that is consumed, whether food or medication. We persih for the lack of knowledge, which is simply ststed in the word of God. Most elderly and young people are at fault when this occures. They tend to shut down from intimidation, refuse to ask questions and believe the doctor is the only one with authority on this particular matters. Quite the contrary.

Know that knowledge is power, and by all means pay close attention to your body. Who better knows your body than you? Never for a moment take the word of a doctor or anyone else for that metter concerning your body. Listen carefully to the things they say, make mental notes, do much research, and lastly know your body.

Compare your notes with the information you have gleamed throughout your research, in comparison to the changes your body might be going through, and discuss these matters and concerns with your physician. You’ll be glad you did. Your doctor will see he cannot just whirl a bunch of words at you. Tell him you have researched the medications and you would like an alternative medicine. He will then know that he can only give you the best medicine for your situation.

In my study to learn more I have found out that the medications listed above Hydrochlorothiazide, Amlodipine, and Metoprolol are some of the worst high blood pressure medication a person can take because the side effects are mentioned in a documentary to have some of the most grave results. When physicians are pushing medicines, and willing to give them to you free as samples, you have to wonder why? Why not a different pill all together? Why do they prefer to double up on medication? Even to the point of prescribing you three or four medications for the same issue.

Metoprolol and it’s side effects are as such, Depression, Nausea, Stomach pain, Dizziness, Vomiting, Constipation, Wheezing, Swelling of hands and feet, lower legs, Fainting, and Rapid pounding and irregular heartbeat. Unusual weight gain, Shortness of breath, if these symptoms occur, of course call 911 or depending on how serious they are call your doctor. Metoprolol is not a cure, it’s a treatment.

Plaque in your arteries can cause pressure which can lead to other issues such as heart attack or stroke. The artery doesnt have to be completely blocked, just some plaque can cause major issues with your health. Plaque is also known to break off creating other issues such as constriction with air passage. Note that most drugs don’t cure but just treats the symptoms. Which requires continueing the use of these medications.

Your physician would rather not tell you to eat better, exercise everyday, even if its just 15 minutes, a nice reasonable pace, drink plenty of water, and when you think you’ve had enough to last you all week, drink some more until your urine is as clear as water. Remove certain foods from your diet such processed foods, red meats, lean meats, nothing out of a can, no added sodium, use plenty of herbs and spices, no salted chips, salted nuts, or salted crackers. Choose a healthier diet when eating out. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables washed properly or prepared without over cooking. Juicing is essential with a great deal of vital health benefits.

Remember to get plenty of rest, even if you have to take a nap during the day. Rid your life of uncleanliness or unnecessary drama. Read more, swim, bike riding, or a brisk walk. Maybe a good song and dance until your heart is content and you have worked up a sweat. Live, laugh and love like never before. Concentrate on those things that are of a good report according to the scriptures. The list could go on and on, but most of all read God’s Word and remember to pray. Also remember that according to the Bible there are certain things we should not partake of.
