John 10:27-28 My sheep hear my voice, and I will know them, and they will follow me: 28) I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, no man shall pluck them out of my hand. Remember to spend some quiet time with God, as much as possible.

Psalm 34:8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him and gives God quiet time.

It is a wonderful time to be in the presence of the Lord. To God be the glory. The glory of God refers to what He is, His attributes, His greatness. The Bible speaks about the transference of the glory of God to the glory that we need. But the glory of God also refers to what He desires. We are to glorify Him. That’s something we give to God. Psalm 29:2 tells us, “Give unto the Lord the glory due His name.”

1 Chronicles 29:13, after David collected the money for the temple that his son Solomon would build. He said, “Now therefore, our God, we thank you and praise your glorious name.”

Psalm 145:5 tells us, “I will meditate on the glorious splendor of your majesty.”

1 John 3:2 “It doth not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that when He shall appear. We shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.”

Romans 3:23 says all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Romans 5:2 speaks of the glory of God in the sense of His greatness. Romans 15:7 lets us know that, “Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” The glory of God is emphasized in several places throughout Paul’s writings.

1 Corinthians 10:31, “Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you shall do, do it all to the glory of God.”

The glory of God is used in many ways in the word of God. It refers to God’s greatness, His honor, His beauty, His power, and His light. In every case, the glory of God acknowledges the Lord’s supreme strength and our need to both acknowledge and serve Him.

Encourage Yourself: It is imperative that you take quiet time each day to communicate with your Heavenly father.
