How to know your purpose in life
As Christians we are sent to this world for a specific purpose. Each Christian has a role to play in this world, and until you are in your divine path you will not be satisfied. Unfortunately, many Christians are searching for their true purpose in the wrong places and it will only result in one thing, frustration.
Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you,
Before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
Even though we decide the food we eat, the clothes we wear, or the places we go, the truth is, we have a Maker.
Psalms 100:3 “Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people and the sheep of his pasture.” If God is our Maker, our Creator, then who is the Person to tell us our purpose here on earth?
Nobody has the right to make you feel bad about yourself, they are not your maker, and neither do they have the power to destroy your soul. Genesis 1:31 “And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good…”
When God created you, He took a step back, admired your uniqueness, He smiled, He just couldn’t keep it to Himself, and He said, you are good! If God says, you are good, who then has the right to say otherwise? Yes, you got it right! Nobody has the right to say otherwise, not even the devil, not your boss, not your family, not your neighbor…nobody!
A young lady got her heart broken by her boyfriend because according to her, “my boyfriend says I am not beautiful enough.” This young girl has built her world around the lie her ex-boyfriend told her, she believed she would never be good enough for anyone and because of that, she drove people away, her self-esteem dropped to zero. Thankfully, she met with Jesus, the One who knows her real worth. When she discovered God’s word concerning her, things started to change for her, the storm she thought was there was created by her imaginations. Now the frustration is no more there because she has found her real worth, God’s purpose for her life.
You may be wondering, why is everything wrong with you? Why is your relationship not working? Why are you not enjoying the gift of salvation?
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
With the above scripture, is God a liar? No, God can never lie; His word is yea and amen. He says what He means, and He means what he says. The reason why everything seems challenging is that you are searching in the wrong places. Jeremiah 1:5 shows us the right place to seek answers; your purpose in life is written in God’s Book. The earlier you discover it, the better for you.
Encouraging thoughts: Every product has a manual; the Bible is our manual. God has given us the manual; however, He will not force us to read the manual. It is our responsibility and not the manufacturer’s to study the manual.
