Merry Christmas to all! Remember this season is about Christ, being thankful, being with friends as well as family, and good health.
One of my most memorable Christmas, was when my sister-in-law lived in Tucson. They didn’t have an awful lot under the tree, but we were still happy. She had us gather hands and begin to pray before we could do anything. It was such an awesome spiritual moment for me; that changed my life. I could have eaten a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for Christmas dinner and would have been just as happy. I learned that day that it was about family, but more importantly about Jesus. For Jesus is the reason for the season.
I grew a little that day, my mind, my maturity level. It was a tradition I decided to impart to my family once I had one. Thank God today I can say, it is something I do. It sets the tone for the day, it allows you and others to put things into perspective.
For it is this time of year, that we set aside time to show my God, your God, our God our deepest adoration. For the Sweet, Majestic, Loving, Gentle, Awesome, All knowing, All Powerful, Omnipotent, Holy One, Chief Corner Stone, Light of the World, Prince of Peace, Alpha and Omega, Rose of Sharon, Bread of Life, Author and Perfector of our Faith, Bread of Life, Lamb of God, Rock, Mediator, Savior, True Vine, High Priest, Good Shepherd, and the only True Living God who was born, died, and rose again that I, We, and Us, might have life, and life more abundantly.
Christmas is an everyday occurance for many who truly understand that the birth of Jesus Christ was not an ordinary birth of an ordinary man. As well as his death and resurrection being equally celebrated.
Call his name Immanuel! Jesus Christ son of God, the true reason for this special time of year.
