Watch & Pray, during bereavement; the devil will devour you!

Why is it when someone dies, the vultures come out in full force?  Certain people in the family are shady, sneaky, and undermining. Their foul damnable spirit is focused on one thing, and one thing only. They smile in your face, they’re crying, wanting you to think they are hurting as much as you are. They are not! Their  main focus is to get as much as they can, before you can. They have gone so far as to calling the deceased old job, to get as much monetary assistance they can. They are receiving checks they shouldn’t be receiving,  and trying to hold it over your head.

Is there no end to the low down dirty schemes my sister,  my daughter, my child’s ex will do? When greed takes a hold of you, I call it the work of the devil.

They keep telling you what the deceased person wanted, as if they knew them, more then you did. But because you are grieving so, you are not focused, you don’t have your senses about you. But GOD sees all, and nothing that is done, will go unpunished!  You got your bill paid, yes you got a check, and yes you held back the audio from my child, that I should had the choice to hear before the parents buried their one and only child together. But you took our choice away, as if you were the parent. As if you could have loved him more.

Because of your evilness, your greed, your lying, your deceitfulness. You thought only of yourself, your own personal interest. your own personal gain. Not once have you put God in the midst, not once have you allowed your light to shine my sister, my daughter, my adversary.

Taking Advantage of the Grieving
Losing a spouse/child/loved one is a catastrophe on so many levels. It is so tough when you have to make all these life changes and no one will cut you any slack. The thief is lurking around every corner.

I have heard that one of the stages of grief was anger. I thought that it was some sort of natural progression, but I am not so sure after having to deal with business entities after my wife’s death. Maybe there are people out there who feel it is their job to mess around with you until you are mad.

She died in July and we were covered by her work with insurance under a family plan. Either her employer or the insurance company canceled the insurance on the day she died and no one told me about it. I found out 10 days later when I went to doctor and was told. The insurance company blamed her employer and her employer blamed the insurance company. Her burial insurance didn’t pay up for about 4-6 weeks after they received the death certificate….said they had to see the death certificate first.

I still don’t know why that is, since I was the beneficiary and obviously I was burying somebody. Who else did they think I would be burying? The people at the funeral home were an oily bunch who made a sales pitch like carnival hucksters. Within thirty minutes of her funeral and just a before she was to be buried, the funeral director says he wants to “secure payment”, but he acted like a goon working for a loan shark. I told him she had burial insurance and I thought that they worked with the insurance company like the doctors do. He told me no and what I should have been doing all along. I apologized and explained that I didn’t know what the procedure was since this was the first time I had buried a member of my family, but I like most people couldn’t just write a check a check for over $6000. I paid him the next day and he was late with the death certificate by about a month. I finally had to call the state on him for being out of compliance with mandated timelines. Then he finally sent me the certificate (BTW it is best not to give those guys full payment until you get the certificate, otherwise you won’t have access to the funds that you need to settle business of the estate).

It is awful, but it seems that when you are sick with grief, sleep deprived, not eating, and you are so punchy you can’t even drive, there are people who take advantage of you. I guess I am in the anger stage of grief, but I don’t think that my response is irrational.

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world” (1 Peter 5:8-9).
If you are a member of the body of Christ, get ready to face a mad devil. You may not want to think about it or even accept it – but if you have determined to follow Jesus with all your heart, Satan has marked you for destruction. And he’s going to flood your life with troubles of all kinds.
The apostle Peter warns, “The end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer” (4:7). He is saying, in other words, “This is no time for lightness. You have to get sober-minded about spiritual matters. It is an issue of life and death.”
Why the need to be so serious? The end of time is near – and our enemy has turned up the heat. He is stalking us like a lion, hiding in the grass, waiting for an opportunity to pounce. He wants to devour us – to utterly destroy our faith in Christ.
Some Christians say we shouldn’t even talk about the devil, that we’re better off just ignoring him. Others try to reason him out of existence. Liberal theologians, for example, argue that there is no devil, no hell, no heaven.
But the enemy of our souls is not simply going to go away. Few biblical figures have been identified so clearly and extensively. He is described as Lucifer, Satan, devil, deceiver, hinderer, wicked one, usurper, imposter, accuser, devourer, god of this world, ruler of darkness, old serpent.
These emphatic descriptions tell me the devil is real. And we know from scripture that he wields a very real power. Even now he is at work on the earth – in our nations, cities, churches, homes and individual lives. And we dare not be ignorant of his methods and strategies of warfare against us.

Your greed comes to us like a thief in the night. While we slumber, you are working overtime to conquer us. Your evils deeds and thoughts are full of darkness. You are my sister, my daughter, my adversary. But we all see you devil!

God says in His Word, vengeance is mine, I will repay!  I shall sit back and allow the Lord to fight my battle. When you put evil in the atmosphere, evil is what you get back.
