I remember when Terri and I were in middle school. She would bother me every day. I would throw bobbins at her during sewing class, because I couldn’t catch her. It was the last thing I needed in my little life. Since life at home was absolutely crazy. But she insisted, I couldn’t figure it out; I never talked to her.
We eventually graduated from middle school and off to high school we went. Wouldn’t you know I had her for a math and art class. She talked excessively in class, consequently never accomplished anything. I found myself doing her homework; but we still weren’t on a best friend basis; we were more like acquaintances. By the 11 grade we were bosom buddies, and were you saw one, you saw the other.
We graduated high school, went to the community college. I also went to a trade school, got married and was about to have a baby. When Terri ended up pregnant as well, just to show how crazy I was. I wanted her to get rid of her baby; because of who the father was. Now if you ever saw the movie Pootie Tang. Her baby daddy looked just like that guy, who was played by Lance Crouther.
Every time I think of what I wanted her to do; I think how crazy was I? It’s kinda of funny because she insisted for several years that I would be Roddric’s god-mother. She kept after, until she worn me down. LOL
Man Roddric turned out to be one of my favorite little persons in the world. As he grew older, there was nothing I wouldn’t do for him. He is now 27yrs. old; with a family of his own. But he is witty, charming, and just down right crazy. No one can make me laugh like he does.
My god-son Roddric, I love you!
ENCOURAGE YOURSELF: IT WAS WRONG FOR ME TO ASK OR INSIST TERRI GET AN ABORTION. WHO WAS I? HAD I LOST MY MIND? NO I HAD NOT LOST MY MIND; BUT IT WAS ABSURD!! THANK GOD TERRI HAD A MIND OF HER OWN, AND ALTHOUGH WE WERE EXTREMELY CLOSE. SHE WAS HER OWN PERSON. WE SOMETIMES OVER STEP OUR BOUNDARIES AND AT THE END OF THE DAY, WE ONLY WANT WHATS BEST FOR THE ONES WE LOVE.
