We are sitting in the doctor’s office and I am told to undress, and put on a gown. My cousin helps me with my shoes. Well now you see it, my foot. It’s darker than usual, and the sore on the corner is when I stubbed my toe. I wonder if I am getting enough oxygen? Is it infected? Am I going to lose my toe like Big Mama did?
I guess I was in denial when my cousin Ann said my foot was darker and didn’t look good. It hurt my feelings, it caused that much more fear in me. I cannot lie; I was at the doctor’s office, but I wasn’t there to talk about my toe. I was there because of my Pulmonary Hypertension. I thought if I didn’t discuss it, I wouldn’t have to deal with that particular issue; just maybe it will go away. Maybe it look worse than what it really was. I mean after all, I stubbed my toe for Christ sake.
Well it is now six days later, and I must say, my toe is much better. I personally doctored on it myself. At the doctor again today, and he did look at it. My A1c, kidneys, and blood work was good. The toe is better, so now if I can just follow the guidelines the Pulmonary Specialist has given me, I will be much better.
A word of advice, never let something of this nature go untreated. (Professional treatment) This could be so much worse than what it was, if God didn’t help me. Man am I grateful for His tender loving mercy!
Night all, Kate
