Doctor’s visit can often times be very tasking. I don’t know if any of you are like me, but I almost always hate going to the doctor. Maybe it’s a color thing, I have been told many times that men usually try to avoid the doctor more often than women.
During your visit, stepping on the scale is the most uncomfortable part, you already know you are over weight. You somehow feel less than. The only thing that makes it ok, is if the medical assistant is over weight herself or even the doctor. Then there is this ridiculous wait period, longer than you desire, because your doctor is running late. Doctor comes in, tells you how fat you are, and you must lose weight immediately to avoid certain problems that come along with obesity.
OK everybody so I have decided to go on a diet. For real…this time. I have decided to do the Mediterranean diet and make it a way of life. I will not confess that I will that it will be easy, or that I will not have a moment of weakness, because I am human, I must make allowances for error. The most important part would be to get up and try again.
I will be keeping an on going daily log. Watch for updates. Starting date 4/15/18 My goal is to lose 50lbs, healthier eating habits, better blood pressure. Feel free my wonderful audience to ask questions, leave comments and suggestions. I will truly appreciate it. Thank you in advance!
Never neglect the things your body is trying to tell you, it could be detrimental if these vital signs are ignored. The body is a very intriguing intricate mass of fat, organs, bone structure and muscle, very condensed which makes playing close attention very important.
So I wanted to share what the Mediterranean diet consisted of; It is an abundance of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes and Olive Oil. It also encourages you to eat fish, poultry, and lean sources of protein, minimize red meat, because it has more saturated fat. Red wine occasionally. The fruit will basically be your dessert. I challenge you to do this diet with me. It is my desire to make this a way of life. Come join me!
Encourage Yourself: Remember life is what we make it, so make the most of your life! Úntil next time…Remember to make and keep you doctor’s visit, appointments you will be glad you did.
